HOSPITALITY AND DEVELOPMENT

Art your guests will remember.

Vigil Art House creates original paintings and spatial commissions that give hotels, restaurants, clubs, and destination properties a distinct emotional world, from the first concept through installation and documentation.

Not decoration.
An atmosphere made visible.

The strongest art in hospitality creates arrival, intimacy, rhythm, discovery, and memory. It can deepen a candlelit bar, give a timber-and-stone retreat emotional weight, bring history into a contemporary hotel, or turn a space into the image people carry home. Vigil collaborates with ownership, design teams, and operations to turn architecture, brand narrative, and guest experience into an art program that is creatively distinctive and operationally executable.

WAYS TO ENGAGE

One moment. Or a complete world.

INVESTMENT GUIDANCE

Hospitality and development engagements are scoped individually. Signature commissions begin at $5,000, and property art programs begin at $20,000 for an agreed set of spaces and works. From a single defining placement to an extensive collection, the final investment reflects the property’s vision, number and scale of works, artists, fabrication, installation, and schedule.

Investment is in USD. Framing, fabrication, delivery, installation, and any applicable tax are itemized in your proposal. The starting investment does not imply art for every room; each proposal defines the placements, works, and services included before work begins.

ART IN CONTEXT

A place to linger.

Cozy Cabin brings the warmth of its painted windows into conversation with the fire below. Dark surfaces and deep blue tones give the light room to hold your attention.

A concept for an intimate lounge or mountain retreat, where the artwork becomes part of the feeling of arrival.

CAPABILITIES

Creative ambition, translated into a buildable program.

Property Narrative and Art Direction

A central artistic idea grounded in the property, brand, location, guest experience, interior language, material palette, and desired emotional register.

Placement and Scope

Priority moments, art schedules, scale studies, medium recommendations, and budget allocation developed around the architecture.

Original Commissions and Artist Direction

Painter and maker identification, custom creative briefs, original commissions, focused selections, rights coordination, and approval management. Painting remains the visual center unless another medium serves the space more powerfully.

Production and Fabrication

Framing, mounting, display solutions, site-specific fabrication, edition planning, finish development, and quality control.

Logistics and Installation

Delivery coordination, site readiness, condition review, professional installation, closeout records, and care guidance.

Story and Documentation

Project narratives, artist details, process photography, installation imagery, and optional film assets that can support guest storytelling, ownership records, marketing, and press.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Bring art into the conversation early.

Vigil Art House can enter during concept development, design development, procurement, or as a focused partner for one defining area. Early involvement creates the greatest opportunity to integrate art with sightlines, low-light conditions, architectural lighting, wall finishes, structural support, budget, and construction sequencing.
