THE ART HOUSE

Vigil Art House was founded in Denver by Ty and Hope Cole to create work that makes your space feel alive. The art that defines your space should be hand crafted specifically for your story, your vision, and the energy you want your guests to experience. While custom paintings are at the core, we complement those with sculpture, relief, chandeliers, and spatial work to create a world that feels unmistakably you. Clients can move from an undefined wall or architectural plan to a fully realized work without coordinating artists, fabricators, and installers separately. We believe the right art should alter the atmosphere, hold presence, carry meaning, and become difficult to imagine anywhere else.

Ty Cole

Co-Founder and Creative Director

Ty is an artist, filmmaker, and creative director whose practice is rooted in cinematic composition, narrative, and physical craft. His work begins with the story, then uses light, shadow, scale, perspective, and emotional weight to create an image that feels like part of a larger world. Years of creating original work for private clients revealed that the hardest part of acquiring meaningful art is rarely the desire for it. It is imagining the right work, trusting the process, and carrying the idea through every decision between the first conversation and final installation. At Vigil Art House, Ty leads creative direction, artistic concepts, major client relationships, artist selection, original work, and quality across the studio.

Hope Cole

Co-Founder and COO

Hope’s early background in theatrical set design shaped an instinct for how light, shadow, scale, material, and movement create atmosphere. She understands a space as an experience, from where attention falls to how each detail supports the larger story.

As co-founder of Vigil Art House, Hope brings that perspective to concept development, client experience, and project planning. Working alongside Ty, she helps shape the relationship between the artwork, the space, and the people who inhabit it. Her focus is on preserving the client’s story throughout the creative process and bringing care and intention to the details of each engagement, from the first conversation through installation.

Together, Ty and Hope Cole built Vigil Art House as equal parts vision and follow-through: a private art house where the idea, the work, and the experience are held to the same standard.
